I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
